An 80th minute goal for the hosts handed Philadelphia Union a 0-1 loss in their 2016 preseason opener. 31 players saw the field for the Union, though few stood out on a windy and rainy night.
In a game no one should have stayed up to watch, the US defeated Canada, 1–0 on a very late Jozy Altidore goal. Neither team cared about this game, and it showed. Or if they did care, it didn’t look like it.
