That four Reading United alumni were selected in the SuperDraft only underscores that coach Brendan Burke has gotten things right. While only one made it to the Union this time around, in the long run, such success can only bode well.

Local connections abound as the Union select Southampton, Pa.native Ryan Richter from La Salle with the fifth pick of the first round. Defender Josh Walburn from Princeton was the second round pick. Wilmington, De. native and FC Delco alumni Matthew Marcin was picked from Providence College in the third round.
