Fundraising efforts surpassed the $25,000 target on Wednesday to beat Thursday’s deadline thanks to a contribution from the Sons of Ben. Now, director Eugene Martin has the money necessary to finish his film about the nation’s only all-African-American, inner city girls soccer club, which is based in South Philadelphia.
