  1. You have to wonder if that ref had the Union terrified to even touch a NY player late in that game. I’m thinking in particular of Castellanos’ 2nd goal, the team’s 4th. Glad Bedoya said something. Saw tha Altidore also let MLS ref’s have it this weekend, too. I know it’s always fashionable to dump on refs, but I think officiating is really, really poor in the league. It seems wildly inconsistent at best. Pro refs need some real help to sort themselves out.

I thought the same thing about the last goal and not wanting to get another foul/yellow card/PK. Still not an excuse for standing around after the the garbage that was the 2nd PK. I just can’t take the games on that field seriously. It’s so bad.

    • Problem is with PRO they think they are doing fine. If you ever watch Peter Walton defend PRO, you’ll see what I mean. I get it’s his job too, but there’s not even recognition that the ref’s could take a different tact or look at things in a different way. Sad really. Almost reminds one of USSF.

  2. Word is RJ Allen will be signed when the transfer window opens after being with the team on trial. With Mbaizo out for up to 2 months it is needed for depth at right back.
