Union sign keeper Matt Freese to a homegrown contract

The Philadelphia Union have announced that they are signing a regular keeper for the Harvard Crimson, Matt Freese, to a homegrown contract.

Freese, originally from Wayne, PA, joins Jamaican international Andre Blake to give the Union just two keepers on the roster at the moment. Both regular backup John McCarthy and Bethlehem Steel FC stalwart Jake McGuire have been out of contract since the end of the 2018 season.
