Union

OK, so you’re probably watching EPL right now, but when you get back, here’s some stuff to keep you busy before today’s Independence and Union matches.

The Crew have their eyes on Freddy Adu, but not so much as they do upon first place, which they’re hoping to keep in tonight’s match against the Union.

Ours is better, of course, but you already knew that.

This is odd, but it involves Union supporters and Union games and is for a good cause. So, check this out about the World’s Largest Bearfight. Uh, yeah.

Independence

Get tickets for the Independence’s playoff match today at 4 p.m at PPL Park.

And just in case you missed it, check out our preview of the game.

MLS

Robbie Keane plays his first MLS match tonight for the Galaxy. How good will the Ireland captain be? No, he may not be the same player who scored 80 goals in under 200 matches with Tottenham, but let’s not forget he’s still netted 25 goals over the last two seasons, which isn’t a bad haul at all.

Did some Kansas City fan really hit his own goalkeeper in the face by throwing an Omar Bravo doll at him during a game? Yes, yes he did. More on this silliness here.

Remember that big moose — errr, center back — who got red carded against the Union? Well, FC Dallas defender George John could be headed to the EPL.

Elsewhere

Herculez Gomes scored a game-winning goal down in Mexico. (Herculez, Herculez!)

And yes, Danny G’s cover photo was too cool not to use.

George John should make an excellent practice cone for Blackburn.

  3. I got a tweet last night saying Carroll is out injured for this game? I wasn’t dreaming that, was I?
