Team up with Tim Howard

Everton and USMNT goalkeeper Tim Howard will be visiting Philadelphia in July when Everton comes to town to play the Union in a friendly.

How would you like to win a trip for two to join Howard for dinner and an Everton match in Manchester?

Howard has teamed up with the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome for a raffle to benefit the Center, the only organization of its kind bringing innovative research, services and education to the TS community.

Howard, who is originally from New Jersey, has the neurological disorder Tourette Syndrome, so he knows what it is like to overcome obstacles such as TS and achieve great success. It is estimated that 200,000 Americans have the most severe form of TS, and as many as one in 100 exhibit milder and less complex symptoms such as chronic motor or vocal tics or transient tics of childhood, according to the National Institutes of Health.

“I look forward to hosting this year’s winner to an Everton game and dinner,” said the Everton goalkeeper, who has been a member of the NJCTS board since 2004,

“Though based in the Garden State, the work of NJCTS benefits the entire TS community through our research, family outreach, education and medical training programs,” said NJCTS Executive Director Faith Rice. “In this economy, this opportunity is crucial for us to be able to keep delivering to what we know is an under-served community.”

Raffle tickets are $25 each, or five for $100. The deadline for purchasing a ticket is June 1 with the drawing for the winning ticket taking place on June 15. The winner will receive round-trip airfare for two from Newark Liberty International airport to Manchester, England plus hotel accommodations for two nights, two tickets to an Everton match and dinner with Tim Howard.

  1. Thanks for posting! Any idea how many tickets will be sold?

    • Ed Farnsworth says:

No I don’t, actually. I should think they’ll want to sell as many as possible – spread the word!
