Jay Simpson scored twice as the Union beat Sporting Kansas City 2-0.
The game was a “must-win” against a team that had scored 16 goals in its previous six games. Bethlehem Steel FC prevailed 4-0 to remain in 6th place in the USL eastern conference playoff race with three more games to play.
A must-win match has unexpectedly turned into one in which the Union have some flexibility. Sporting Kansas City comes to town for a 1pm clash with the 5th place Union.
