Soccer is not often seen as an American sport, but MLS – for all it’s flaws – is America’s version. Steeped as it is in American history, Philadelphia needed a manager who considered the MLS his sport, and the MLS Cup his championship. Peter Nowak was widely praised as that manager when he arrived.
