The US U-20 National team was embarrassed at the Caudrangular Internacional Tournament in Peru.
The Independence finished the WPS regular season with a 4-1 loss to FC Gold Pride, their fourth loss in a row. The Washington Freedom secured fourth place and a playoff berth against the Independence on Sunday, September 19th in West Chester with a 1-0 victory over Atlanta Beat.

Brad Knighton started for the Union as they picked up their first ever clean sheet. Sebastien Le Toux’s 11th goal of the season was enough for the Union to pick up a much needed 3 points. PSP has postgame comment, video highlights and player ratings.
