  1. Not surprised about McKennie given the nature of his injury. Really unfortunate timing for him, both for his club situation and for the USMNT. Hope he has a speedy recovery and is available for the World Cup.

I have the feeling the stadium will not be all that full for Saturday’s game. It’s a night game in March (the night before the clocks are set ahead) against a mediocre team whose main draw for Union fans won’t be there. Having missed the opener, though, I’m looking forward to being back at Subaru Park.

Red Bull & Austin at the top of the table in each conference for week two, anyone see that coming? Red Bull winning both games on the road is more impressive than Austin playing two teams expected to be at the bottom of the table. Interesting start to the season across the league.

If anyone else besides me is waiting impatiently for roster information on Philadelphia Union II, there is a development on the menu bar of that particular menu on the website.
    .
The button for the drop down menu titled “Roster” has disappeared. THat might possibly mean that a new page is being worked on, he said engaged in deeply wishful thinking?

According to @UnionRumors, who retweeted a graphic of it, the preliminary call-up for Cameroon in their home and away set of 3rd round World Cup qualifiers in the African Federation against Algeria on March 25 in Cameroon and March 29 in Algeria includes Olivier Mbaizo zs one of 12 defenders. here’s the URL https://twitter.com/LIndomptables/status/1500822142023311360/photo/1
    .
That is the preliminary list, not the final one, so Mbaizo is not called up for certain yet.
    .
He should not miss any matches, unless there are travel glitches. He has six days to get there and practice after the NYC FC match in New York and 4 days to get back for the one in Phila against Charlotte. Probably he has to fly to Europe then to Cameroon, and then vice versa.
    .
If I have interpreted Wikipedia correctly, tap off for the match in Cameroon is at 1 PM EDT. For the Match in Algeria,3:30 PM EDT.
