Transfer News

I’m only going to discuss American transfers here. If you want to know about Spaniards, Uruguayans or anything else… it’s a big internet. Knock yourself out.

Best. Headline. Ever. “Turkey Takes In Another Washed Up Sports Star” I wonder if it’s… yup. It’s Freddy Adu. I think he’s just playing Passport Bingo at this point.

Robbie Findlay officially completed his move to Nottingham Forest yesterday. I really wish I liked the guy because I want to nickname his The Sheriff now.

Aston Villa signed Michael Bradley on loan until the end of the year. If they stay up, expect the club to make Bradley their first summer signing.

Jozy Altidore is going to Burzaspor on loan. Please, just let this guy play soccer somewhere.

Eddie Johnson is on loan to Preston North End until the end of the season. He has not scored for Fulham this year and rarely got playing time, despite the club’s dearth of goalscorers.

  1. Ed Farnsworth says:

You sure that “Turkey Takes In Another Washed Up Sports Star” headline wasn’t about Altidore? Only kidding!

  2. disappointed about altidore. with news that multiple spanish teams were interested in him, turkey is a big letdown.

  3. all these euro yanks need reps. credit where credit is due for bradley and his ilk, but altidore, johnson, onyewu, adu, davies, etc… all need first team minutes, even if it means second level sides (see what i did there?). jozy may get europe minutes if he stays there more than a few months, same with gooch. as for adu, there’s a bench spot open in the casa primera, i’m sure. six of one, it would seem.
