A pep rally for the Philadelphia Union’s home opener will be held at City Hall on Friday starting at noon.
MLS Insider reports that the Union’s Toni Stahl, ejected from the season opener against the Sounders, has been sent to the Harrisburg City Islanders. Joining Stahl will be JT Noone. The City Islanders face Temple tonight in an exhibition match. For Stahl the move presumably means he can stay match fit while serving his suspension. For Noone, its another chance to impress the Union staff while playing in his hometown.
The Washington Post looks at Emilio’s prospects in the MLS. The Brazilian had been linked to the Union. Lately, he’s been linked to FC Dallas. The article wonders if Chivas USA or San Jose might also be in the running. Fingers crossed…
After their first meeting in league play on April 24, the Union will play the New York Red Bulls three days later in a preliminary round match of the US Open Cup on Tuesday, April 27. The match will be at Red Bulls Arena and kickoff will be at 8 p.m. We will let you know about ticket details as they become available.

The Union is holding a job fair to fill some 50 permanent jobs and 550-600 game day jobs for PPL Park. (Follow the previous link to see a video describing the jobs.)
