Toronto FC’s first home match on the new grass field at BMO Field has been moved up to April 15, putting Toronto and visitors Philadelphia Union on national TV for a Thursday night match.
The Union today announced the rescheduling of the match, which was originally set for Saturday, April 17. Now, it will be a Thursday night game, played at 8 p.m. for ESPN2’s national telecast.
Major League Soccer has yet to release its full 2010 schedule, but its first few weeks are posted online. The Union’s first three matches will all appear on national TV, with two on ESPN2 and a third on Fox Soccer Channel.
