The Union won their first ever playoff game with a dramatic 4-3 extra time win over New York Red Bulls, sealing one of the biggest postseason comebacks in MLS history.

As the international break gets going, the USMNT handled Cuba easily on Friday night 7-0, and now turns its attention to “rival” Canada. The Bethlehem Steel earned a 1-1 draw north of the border as they faced Ottawa. In the Philly Unity Cup final, Liberia defeated the United States 3-0, marking their third straight Unity Cup Championship.
The Union waste their opportunities, falling 2-0 in Columbus and to third place in the standings.

The Union lost to the New York Red Bulls 2-0 Sunday night in Harrison while the Steel fell to the Tampa Bay Rowdies 6-1 on Saturday night. With an Atlanta United win, the Union now sit in third place of the eastern conference. Christian Pulisic is seeing less of the field at Chelsea and yet another racist incident in Serie A over the weekend.

After a long layoff, the Union return to action tonight against the Revolution. Philly cruised to a 6-1 win earlier this season, but they’ll be facing a different challenge in Foxborough as they look to cement themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference.
