News roundup: MLS Week 8 Power Rankings, AFC Bournemouth clinches Premier League promotion

The MLS Week 8 Power Rankings were released yesterday, and the Union held on to their No. 2 spot after this past weekend’s draw with Nashville.


Seattle Sounders will try to make history tonight and become the first MLS side to win the Concacaf Champions League.  Over 67,000 fans are expected for Leg 2 of the final, which kicks off tonight at 1o pm ET | FS1, TUDN.

  1. I feel bad for the power rankings guy.
    The head of MLS marketing stood behind his desk with a baseball bat to “check his work” and make sure LA and the Union were one and two ahead of their game this weekend.

      You mean the game that no one east of the Mississippi that isn’t a diehard Union fan will watch since it’s on so late?

      • you know the midwest and the west coast are actual places.

    Nobody watches anyway so…. Right now you have the NBA and NHL playoff going on so you might have a better chance with the late start.

  3. The Man.City vs. Madrid Champions league game was crazy! I have been a fan of AFC Bournemouth since the first time they appeared in the EPL. It will be nice to see them back up. Guess I’ll have to DVR the game.
