  1. In my opinion Brazil should be forced to forfeit Sunday’s match. It would have been one thing if those players had tested positive, but essentially Brazil setup a law that banned some of the opposing players from playing based on where their club teams are located. If they weren’t willing to allow those players into the country they should have moved the game to a neutral site.

Just as an example of how biased the rule could potentially be, imagine if the US put in a rule/law that anyone who had been in Honduras in the last week has to quarantine. Well it just so happens that Costa Rica plays in Honduras next month 6 days before the US hosts them. A law like that would force Costa Rica to field 2 completely different teams for the 2 matches. Now while that may be the only the US can beat them, it would still be utterly ridiculous.

  2. Separate rant from the one above. Tyler Adams should have been removed from the game Sunday night for his actions on the field. For some unknown reason he decided to commit a retaliatory foul completely behind the play while his team was on a fast break which was probably their best chance to score after the game was tied.

Utterly selfish but also typical of someone who came up through the Dead Bull academy.

    • Definitely a stupid play but I thought Adams was otherwise pretty good. Had an old fashioned destroyer kind of game. Canada was also really letting the US have it and I can see why he might have been eager to give a little back. I think of UEFA refa were officiating at least one Canadian is sent off.

  3. Aaronson’s goal and his play leading to it was excellent. Shows what the Union is missing.
