News roundup: Union represented internationally, MLS international break, USMNT beats Mexico

Jose Martinez earned his first cap for Venezuela over the weekend, appearing as a sub. 

The Union will be represented at the UEFA Euros this year thanks to Daniel Gazdag. 

The Union will return to play in 2 weeks, a road trip against Atlanta United on June 20th.

After being moved from Argentina due to COVID-19, the Copa America faces obstacles in Brazil. 

Speaking of Brazil, they kicked off World Cup qualifying with a 2-0 win over Ecuador.

Chile was able to escape with a 1-1 draw against Argentina in World Cup qualifying. 

England was tested against Romania and came away with a 1-0 win. 

In a match that will be in the CONCACAF Hall of Fame, the USMNT defeated Mexico 3-2 in extra time to win the CONCACAF Nations League.

    Was disappointed to see a poor outing from McKenzie Sunday night. I don’t think the ref should have awarded either PK since neither was clear and obvious, but once he awarded one, he was pretty much obliged to award the second.

  2. Can’t help but think of the Union’s trip to Azteca in August after watching US-Mexico. Hoping Aaronson can get playing time in friendly tomorrow night.
