Tottenham had a 3 goal lead with 8 minutes left, and then they got a draw out of it.

Chelsea also lead for most the match, and also only got a draw out of it.

Does Liverpool have a right to be angry at VAR?

    Cory Burke.

Be interested to see how many minutes he gets if he plays.

  2. Have to say, I think MLS does VAR better than the PL. Liverpool has plenty to complain about after the derby. Offside call was one thing. Not sending Pickford off makes no sense to me. I don’t think he did anything intentionally, but it hardly matters. The challenge was beyond reckless.

Agreed. VAR had a nightmare weekend in England.

    • It also opened up pandora’s box with call……no red card because VAR was used to check the offside. So you can’t use it to also check a foul????? By that standard…….a player can just punch an opponent if there is an offsides VAR check because that’s all it will be used for?……Thats what it seems to me right now….

  3. That Pickford challenge, IMO, gets looked at differently because he is a GK – it looked a legit keeper-type-of-challenge. In real time, it looked like he got the ball. If it was a field player making that type of challenge, red card probably given for the challenge regardless of the possible offside first. Like it or not, keepers are provided more leeway on those types of challenges. For the league, regardless of who you support, it is a real shame that Virgil is out.

On another note, should I start banking vacation time to travel to the Villa Champions League matches next year….?

Now we have confirmation on how worthless the Supporters Shield truly is.

So Cory Burke will get in the 18 but not play tonight and Wooten will score two goals coming off the bench. Just a feeling now that he’s motivated to keep his spot in the line-up.
