  1. I can see Paxten getting minutes early next year and following a similar path to Brenden for sure.

  2. I agree Paxten Aaronson is an exciting prospect. But remember please that he has just had his 17th birthday, that he stands 5’6″ and weighs 131 lbs.

HIs brother was half a year older when he bounced off Forrest Lasso and green-sticked his collar bone. It was so close to being a compound fracture that they took him straight to a hospital in an ambulance from Goodman Stadium.
    .
WE all know Brenden’s work rate, and he has being working that hard in the weight room ever since to gain physical mass and strength. Paxten’s brother is now listed as 5’9″ and 144 two years after the crash into Lasso.

It will take time and lots of hard work.

Given that until there is an effective vaccine and enough application of it for groups to freely intermix with one another, practicing with the first team and playing for the second is not available as a player development tool, practicing daily with the first team is the strongest such tool available.
    .
Unless there have been injuries and other setbacks that the public knows nothing about, that seems to be what they are doing with Michee Ngalina, Cole Turner and Matej Oravec this year. Only Jack de Vries has seen first-team game minutes and those have only been cameos in garbage time.
    .
This is Philadelphia so the “Ps” in “patience” are already used up, but patience is nonetheless necessary. Sound developmental practice is to wait until there are good chances for success.
    .
Only the constraints of necessity have forced the organization away from that principle somewhat this season with Union II.

    • Age 17, I could care less. If you can play at that level, you should play. (Gio Renya, anyone?)
      .
However, I am aligned with you on size/weight concern.
