Ilsinho is back for another year, which is terrible news for the New York Red Bulls.
Brenden Aaronson and Mark McKenzie were both named to the USMNT travel roster. Will either feature against Costa Rica?
Do the Union have any major needs in their current roster?
MLS
How MLS players reacted to the tragic passing of NBA great Kobe Bryant.
Bob Bradley has someone who reminds him of Roberto Firmino.
Could MLS teams be looking to China for their next big signing?
Inter Miami said they wouldn’t wait for a star player….
The Union will still be seeing a lot of Julian Gressel, just not in Atlanta.
Looks like Aaron Long won’t be getting a Premier League move.
World
How the rest of the soccer world gave tribute to Kobe.
Can the USWNT be the first to win a World Cup and Olympics consecutively?
Who forced a FA Cup replay with Liverpool?
They have never in my memory gone into a season without four center backs, and Mark McKenzie is likely to be away for the U. S. attempt to qualify for Tokyo, and Tokyo should qualification succeed. (Remember everyone sends their U23s with three overage players allowed.)
.
So I would say they need an additional center back.
Do they not have anyone at Union 2 who could fill in if needed? Both Curtin and Tanner have said they expect another signing or two before the season begins…. I’d love to see a better backup option than Colin.
Looks like they will announce Jakob Glesnes as the CB signing Curtin mentioned.
.
Strömsgodset has reached agreement with the MLS club Philadelphia Union on the framework for the sale of Captain Jakob Glesnes (25).
