    RE: Hugo Perez.

…..Can you imagine a provincial environment where this is an issue. You have a bilingual man speaking Spanish to the people/players who most understand Spanish in a country increasingly becoming brown (U20 and U17, I believe YNT player pool has 8 white players of 40 or so selected). This issue tells us everything we need to know about US Soccer.
    .
A wildly successful coach with an ability to crossover seamlessly between the Anglo, Latino and therefore likely African American culture… a guy who should be the face of US coaching and instead was told not to speak spanish to youth spanish speaking national team pool players…/ meanwhile it’s pretty clear a guy like Tata Martino with his credibility wasn’t even given an opportunity for the US head job becasue he does not speak english. By the way, has Mexico lost a game yet?
    .
So Hugo is off scouring and scouting the US youth ranks for Mexican players to help the Mexican federation. If you read this in the fiction section of a bookstore you’d say, ‘man, what a crazy story.’
    .
In other news, congrats to Sacramento… welcome to the cartel. Don Garber couldn’t even throw credit at the two guys who actually built the club from the ground up… it was the financial backer– “who got this over the finish line.”

Soccer, as its culturally accepted to be coined in this country— is the problem.
