News roundup: Union play NYRB Sunday, and David Silva might be coming to Miami

The Union are heading up to northern Jersey to take on the Red Bulls on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Our preview will be out later today, but remember this comeback win earlier this season?

  1. Got a chuckle out of the MLS awards lists…..looks like 20+ players for every category, then only 3 nominees in the two referee categories. I think that properly sums things up!

    • Awards are a joke. How is Kacper up for comeback player of the year and not newcomer even though he is up for MVP? Seems like comeback had to have played in the league before.
      .
      Feel sorry for Chicago’s keeper as he is the only one not nominated there.

      • Kacper was not signed until after the roster freeze took effect last fall.
        .
        He was also rehabbing from some type of foot injury.
        .
        His first game action this year was for Bethlehem.

  2. Saw some musings about Derrick Jones to Nashville might have protected us from expansion. neither party responding to the claims.

  3. why would Miami honor such a deal were it to exist?
