  1. anyone know how the soccer field dimensions at Fenway correlate to new Yankee stadium? curious if they’re similar or not.

having watched enough national games this weekend, with the Union on top, i get the sense no broadcasters respect us. they have to acknowledge we’re there but no enthusiasm or excitement exists. we’re pretenders in the way.

Agreed. Everyone is waiting for the collapse they just expect to happen. Like, it’s fine we’re in first for now, but it won’t last. Atlanta will just take it over like it’s their destiny. We’re now finished 20 weeks and in first by multiple points… a little bit of respect would be appreciated and frankly, is deserved.

    • The Yankees refuse to remove the pitchers mound and that is the biggest constraint to the field size.
      .
They pulled the mound for the game at Fenway, so I’m sure the field was actually regulation size.

    • On the point about the national games — absolutely. The Union are completely off their radar. And to be honest, I’m glad for it. I was listening to Twellman and Champion discuss which team — Atlanta or DC — could rival LAFC, as both were playing quite poorly, I had to laugh. I honestly can’t quite figure out what the issue with Atlanta is. They clearly have plenty of quality, but they don’t play as a team. Union can lack in quality sometimes, but I think they do a much better job as a unit. Good locker room. And enough quality to take on anyone in the league.

I really don’t think we know what this Union team is yet. Are they a good team, yes but I don’t think we’ve seen them find their identity yet.
    .
We face D.C.United, Atlanta & LAFC three weeks in a row at home then go on the road for three weeks and face New York Red Bull, San Jose & Columbus before finishing with NYCFC at home.
    .
Really like to see us get healthy and for the roster to become settled in the next four weeks.
