  1. Caught some of Nashville’s Cup game last night – Derrick Jones got the start.
    .
He looked alright, especially defensively, but he seemed reluctant to attack forward either on the dribble or with a pass. To be fair, he has not got a ton of minutes recently and is on a new team but it is also something that the Union had mentioned they wanted him to do more of here.

  2. Andy Muenz says:

Union could have roster problems in June and early July with the call ups. They currently only have 23 players on the roster so if there are any injuries or suspensions, we may see additional games without being able to bring the full 18.

  3. The Truth says:

Of course Josh Harris buys a soccer team. Of course it’s not the U.

  4. Just what Fabian needs to get properly situated: more time away from the team at the expense of practice and playing time with his (still?!!??) new teammates. Don’t get me wrong; I’m never one for preventing a player from representing his or her country when the opportunity presents itself. Merely lamenting that the opportunity will come at a time when we’re all starting to get just a tad uncomfortable with how he clearly doesn’t quite fit yet.

  5. With Creavalle away for June 8th and Jones in Nashville, does James Chambers get a call up to be the D-mid on the bench?

    • GungaDin says:

Chambers would pretty much be a like for like with Creavalle but can he play in MLS with no 1st team contract?

    • Old Soccer Coach says:

Would be at 17 counting the pool goal keeper you my unchecked count.
      .
McKenzie, Real intl duty. Fontana, Freese hurt. Jones loaned out.
Creavalle, Blake, and Fabián as mentioned above.

  6. Old Soccer Coach says:

Field players may b called up on extreme hardship emergency contracts ONLY if there are fewer than 14 field players available, I believe I remember. Check MLS rules summary available to the public.
    .
    No USLC players.
