Kacper Przybylko scored a brace Saturday to lead Bethlehem Steel to a 3-1 victory and earn our Player of the Week award.
The Polish striker may need a few more vowels and minutes with Philadelphia Union, with whom he signed last year, but he has been in top form for the USL side thus far this season.
His goals gave the Steel their first-ever victory over the Charleston Battery.
Here’s the first goal.

And the second. Making it look easy.
Once the Union sort out their international roster spot situation, don’t be surprised to see Przybylko get some minutes there. He’s the sort of tall, target forward they need to compete with Cory Burke, and he has shown that he has the USL level at hand. There seem to be more goals in those boots.
Thanks for the highlight. Encouraging.
.
Przybylko’s not known for being fast, yet you could drive a tractor trailer through that gap. Assuming there was no flag because he was on Steel’s half of the field when the pass was released.
I’m impressed by his positioning there. He found a pocket and hid, but my goodness what was the Charleston backline doing there?
Exactly. It was a wiley move on his part, but someone on Charleston’s back line should have been tracking him the moment possession changed. They will learn from it.
