Philadelphia Union

Before the transfer window opened, I mused that the Union were the only thing worse than bad – they were boring. Well, I was wrong. The Union are something even worse than boring – they are always just good enough to get your hopes up and always bad enough to blow it in just the…well, you’ve all been watching.

The Union #62 Union man Shea Salinas from penetrating the box and Yaro stopped him by kicking his shin.

“Little-known fact: Jack Elliott is so good that after he was picked, teams decided to just stop drafting and go home.”

Mo Edu started and played a half hour for Bethlehem without setback.

Bethlehem dropped a 3-1 decision at home to visiting Louisville. Richie Marquez had the goal for Bethlehem. Starting XI.

Recaps: Premier League. Serie A. Bundesliga. Ligue 1. La Liga.

Legia Warsaw fans were legitimately upset over a bogus 35K UEFA fine, so they made an incredible display.

Highlight of the day

  1. Old Soccer Coach says:

Legia Warsaw puts other tifo in the shade. Wow. My goodness.

    • Holy… Did you see the 1944 tifo that resulted in the fine and this most recent tifo display. Man…

PS: Phila Eagles games at the Linc are bad – until you go to a rival match overseas. Philly ain’t got nutin on those guys.

  2. Nice European recap links; thanks!
Had a great crowd for the Chelsea game yesterday at Tir Na Nog. Were circa 40 strong! Note that the Philly Blues is a Gold tier supporters club and we are only 6 away from being Platinum! Platinum gets us trop priority when buying tickets for home games and we’ll get stuff to raffle off like signed shirts and balls. We also get to meet the players when they come to town and we were there when the U21 Chelsea team played the Union U23 team couple years back. So, if you are looking to be part of a great EPL team here in Philly then join us!
