The Philadelphia Independence played to a 1-1 draw in their second match but netted their first goal, courtesy of Allison Falk.

Falk scored in the 55th minute to even up the score with the Boston Breakers. Neither team could score to break the tie, leaving the Independence with two draws in their first two games.

The club hosts the Washington Freedom this Sunday at John A. Farrell Stadium in West Chester, where the club drew more than 6,000 fans for their home opener earlier this week.
