Santa Fe has confirmed they will allow Valdes’ loan to expire on Dec. 31, so the Colombian international will return to the Union unless another deal emerges. UPDATE: Valdes’ agent says he’s “101 percent” certain Valdes won’t play in MLS for first half of the 2014 season.
