New England Revolution Scouting Report
Last 5 Matches: L-W-L-L-L

First year coach Caleb Porter’ s team comes into Saturday game losers of 4 out the last 5 matches. This would seem to be the perfect team to get the Union back to the win column, but don’t expect an easy game. Carles Gil, the designated player leads the Revolution offense. Gil, the 2021 MLS MVP has amassed a consistent scoring record in New England despite not having much of a relationship with Giacomo Vrioni. Gil is one of four players in Revolution history to record 100 goal contributions in regular season history. Recently signed goalkeeper Henrich Ravas serves as the Rev’s Number 1. Ravas who is 6’5 was acquired from Polish side Widzew Lodz.

Scouting Report: Philadelphia Union

Last 5 Match Results: L-L-D-L-L

The Union come in having lost 4 out of the last 5 games. They have excelled in falling quickly behind, administering furious comebacks but falling just short. Replacing injured Goalkeeper Andre Blake has been difficult and Blake will miss Saturday’s game. Julian Carranza coming off a solid performance against New York City will be counted on to deliver on Saturday. Philadelphia needs three points and cannot afford to take this game or any other for granted.

Players to watch, New England Carles Gil and Philadelphia Midfielder Jose Martinez. Union need to clamp down on the dangerous Gil.

Prediction: Union 2 Revolution 1.

Lines: New England plus 170. Draw + 240. Union +140

If they lose tonight, Curtin should be sacked on the spot. But he won’t. A question to ask is will he survive the season if this freefall continues much longer?

    • There are 30 other teams that would take him in a heartbeat. He’s a proven winner and he’ll right the ship. You’ve got to trust his process!

  2. Revs were an after thought to me this season with their painful start. However they do only have 1 less win than the union.

Get out there and DOOP Boys !

(Otherwise we being back “The Union Cliff of Despair” 🙁
