Five teams from the West that made the playoffs last year will miss out this year. Depending on how games play out on decision day it could be the top five from last year. Already both number one seeds from last year have been eliminated.
    .
On the flip side two of the bottom five teams from last year have already qualified for the post season this year. The wooden spoon winner Cincinnati and expansion team Charlotte are still in the hunt to make the playoffs this year on the last week of the season.
    .
Nashville who qualified in the East last year and moved to the West also made it back to the post season this year. They over came starting the season on the road for eight straight weeks before opening their new stadium. Miami who went out and signed a fantasy team as a new expansion team only to be punished with the loss of a DP spot and Garber bucks when they got caught breaking the rules is still in the hunt as well.

From a ranking of team spending from an article dated May 30th
      .
On the last week of the season five of the top ten spending teams are still in the playoff hunt on the last week of the season. Three of those teams have qualified with the number one team Atlanta eliminated.
      .
On the other end of the bottom ten spending teams seven of ten are still in the hunt with three already qualified.
