In Pictures: Philadelphia Union 1-1 CF Montreal

It was an overcast afternoon in Chester as the Philadelphia Union took on CF Montreal for Kids Day at the Union.

The game was exciting from the beginning, with a penalty kick by Julian Carranza in the 21st minute after being taken down in the box. This goal gives him his 3rd goal since joining the Union, putting him in 2nd for the most goals on the season.

The second half of the game brought another goal, this one scored by Kei Kamara of CF Montreal. The Union looked flat and were having a hard time connecting passes, let alone putting the ball in the net.

As the game went on, tempers started to flair and yellow cards were shown. Both the Union and Cf Montreal saw 3 cards a piece, including one right at the end of the game.

The Union travel to Nashville for their next game on May 1st.

Autism Acceptance and Kids Night were both celebrated at the Union during Saturday afternoon’s game.

    • Thank you! I try to give the viewer an idea of the game from my point of view. I know not everyone’s able to attend the games and want to convey the feel of the game for others.
