News roundup: Union II win, Charlotte on a winning streak, USMNT get big win

The Philadelphia Union II earned their first win in a MLS Next match over FC Cincinnati 2, 2-0. 

The Union will host Pachuca for a friendly in September. 

The Union are back in action against Charlotte on April 2nd.

Local

West Chester United will be forced to replay their US Open Cup match against FC Motown after a successful protest.

MLS

Charlotte FC are on their first win streak, defeating Cincinnati 1-0. 

Sporting KC ended Real Salt Lake’s unbeaten run. 

Elsewhere, Portland and Orlando battled to a draw.

The US Men’s National Team is on the verge of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup after defeating Panama 5-1 Sunday night.

Canada punched their ticket to Qatar with a similarly thorough win over Jamaica. 

Mexico also picked up a big three points over Honduras. 

Costa Rica’s win ensures they will at least play in a World Cup playoff match.
