Takeaways for each club after the latest round of action.

Kansas City’s Alan Pulido is the MLS Player of the Week.

Somehow the Union are not in the Top 10 “young cores’ of MLS.

Columbus’ Lucas Zelarayan will miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

A running list of all the players released for international duty so far.

Head slaps and illegal subs headline this week’s Instant Replay.

Jadon Sancho will be staying in Dortmund for the time being.

Maybe the FIFA international window isn’t such a good idea during a pandemic.

Edison Cavani is the newest arrival for Manchester United.

Alisson Becker picked up a shoulder injury, and is out of Brazil’s qualifiers.

A pandemic didn’t stop teams from spending a lot of money during the window.

Beloved Arsenal legend, Gunnersaurus, has lost his job.

  1. Sad he had to choose, but glad El Brujo is not taking an international break.

If it wasn’t clear, couldn’t be happier with the signing.

  3. I can see why Union aren’t in the list. Aaronson is out the door, McKenzie is on the way too most likely (so by Greg Seltzer’s criteria, neither counts that much). Beyond that, our players below 25 are either bench contributors (Fontana, Real, Mbaizo), young prospects that are mostly playing for Union II (Turner, DeVries, P.Aaronson, Freese, etc.) or players stuck on the Union bench (Nginla, Oravec). The only exception is Wagner, who has been injured a lot this year. Some of the kids are likely to pan out, but as a group they haven’t done enough just yet.

  4. Cavani to United……..who cares? 5 years ago that was a big signing, today…..no one wants to go there……Lolz. Meanwhile, its Partey time in North London! The one man wrecking ball from Atleti is now a Gunner!!!!! That was the biggest signing of the transfer window……….Cavani……..Lolz.

    • As an Arsenal fan, I’d like to say we had the best move, but Thiago to Liverpool seems like the biggest one to me. Rich get richer.

      • I think Partey has a bigger impact on a club like Arsenal than Thiago will at LFC……..and it speaks more of what’s to come. Partey is the first big move on an upward progression for Arsenal that in three years from now…we’ll say it all began with the Partey signing. Give it two or three….and the good times are back for us GOONERS! Just watch……..

      • Arsenal are one place above Liverpool on Forbes richest club list for 2020…..just an fyi. They are like 6&7 in the top ten of world footy……

In fairness, you could say signing Auba long term was the start. The fact that they’re backing Arteta is huge, and securing a loan on Ceballos was a great move as well. Things are finally looking up.

      • Getting Auba to stay was huge. Same with holding on to Ceballos for another year. I’ve read Arteta is pretty happy he didn’t have to let go of Lacca to afford all this too……….
