  1. Columbus looks gooooood. If regular season play ever returns this year, they look like serious front runners in the East.

  2. Any idea if being suspended will clear the yellow card accumulation for Martinez ?

    • SilverRey says:

It clears going into the knockout round,

      AND

They don’t accumulate for the rest of the tournament, so we don’t have to worry about having Martinez (or anyone else) sitting on the bench for accumulation when we win the final.

  3. did anyone see the goal shea salinas scored for SJ against vancouver?
    .
oh dear god the defending. I had to shield my childrens’ eyes.

in other news… I love Martinez’s bite and aggression. We have plenty of depth at the position. From my point of view, he needs to set an agenda of ruthlessness in our midfield. Make people just a bit hesitant. I love it and welcome watching his yellows and occasional reds and the like. Crevalle is a perfectly competent back up and who knows whats up with Oravec.

    • SilverRey says:

Oravec needs to find his confidence. He was a little embarrassed by his SexySZN spot. Even when he scored his banger in preseason against Miami he sheepishly admitted he just closed his eyes and hit it hard. Obviously that’s a throw-away line, but I think he still needs to find his comfort zone here in the US and with the Union. He does have some technical skills, he just needs to find his heart.
