Philadelphia Union
Qatari club Al Sadd aren’t renewing Marco Fabián‘s contract. They’re dissatisfied with his 331 minutes (four matches) and one goal.
For those following the Cory Burke watch:
He started again for St. Polten today in its penultimate game of the season. Season finale is Saturday.
The Union have made it clear they want him back, but I'm not sure of the logistics in place to do that.

MLS
Most teams are expected to put additional advertising on jerseys for the upcoming tournament.
Yesterday, four players tested positive for COVID-19. By my math, that brings the total up to 22.
The league opened applications for additional clubs to join its youth development platform.
NWSL
The Houston Dash and Utah Royals went wild with a 3-3 draw yesterday.
Sky Blue and OL Reign played to a scoreless draw.
The NWSL will allow players to stay in their locker room for the national anthem.
A decent comparison would be MLS Cup 2019 on ABC, which got 823k viewers. Not a bad # for NWSL, considering stakes were much lower https://t.co/oskLXZKQ2x

Cory Burke has made a last place team incredibly dangerous.
If I have understood Wikipedia, etc. correctly, only the last place team of the six in the relegation round actually gets sent down, and St. Polten are third among the last of the six with one game left to play. They have 22 points while the last place team has 15. So, if my understanding is correct that only one gets sent down, they are safe.
.
St. Polten won yesterday 3-0. Burke started, played 79 minutes, and was subbed off after picking up a yellow card. He did not score. He assisted on the first goal which turned out to be the game-winner.
Yeah. I follow them from a really cool site called FlashScore. It looks like they were in last place 9 matches ago, which is when it splits into 2 groups: championship and relegation battles. Not sure exactly when Burke got there but I feel like 9 matches is pretty close. I could be wrong.
