Update 10/1 4:00PM: Like MLSsoccer.com before them, the Union have taken down the announcement shortly after publishing it. No details yet as to what this means, but it seems likely that they’re waiting for a forthcoming announcement from US Soccer.

US Soccer and the Philadelphia Union announced today that homegrown midfielder Brenden Aaronson would be on the roster for October’s CONCACAF Nations League games.

The games will be against Cuba at D.C. United’s Audi Field on October 11th, and against Canad at Toronto FC’s BMO Field on October 15th. Neither game will interfere with the MLS Cup Playoffs, which the Union won’t begin until October 19th or 20th.

The second game (at BMO field) is against Canada, not Cuba.

Very happy for him if indeed true. Hopefully he doesn’t need to play too much in either game. Need those fresh legs to press anyone in our way.
