For his actions on and off the field (and a rampant twitter campaign), Alejandro Bedoya is the MLS Player of the Week.

Marco Fabian was also up for Player of the Week, and features in the Team of the Week. Bedoya also makes the bench.

Jim Curtin has been named the MLS Coach of the Week. His 4th time receiving the honor this year.

Alejandro Bedoya will not be fined for his actions. The GoFundMe that was setup will be donated to charity and is still raising money.

  1. Liked this sentence: “For all his attributes as a leader, a human, and a player, Alejandro Bedoya is a deserving MLS Player of the Week.”

  2. Kudos to MLS for embracing the league’s players who want to speak their mind. No fines. Make him player of the week. It’s nice.

And no, Liverpool’s transfer inaction will not hurt them. Only vulnerability I see is that it will be very difficult to survive an injury to Van Dijk. Still going to be very difficult to catch City. Key will be for other teams in the leagues to take some points off City for a change.

  3. So… a beat down by the Union has forced two MLS Coaches and a DP to move on? nice…..

  4. So not only is Bedoya NOT fined for his comments, he’s named Player Of The Week.

It’s good to see that the entire world hasn’t gone barking mad yet.
