Union

Adam Cann gives us the tactical preview ahead of the Atlanta United match on Sunday.

With Marco Fabian out, Brenden Aaronson might start in the No. 10 spot and had a few things to say:

Jamaica has called up Andre Blake and Cory Burke, and Guyana has called up Warren Creavalle ahead of several Concacaf Nations League matches at the end of March.

Since yesterday was Pi Day and all…

Steel

I still can’t get over Chambers and Fontana from last Sunday against Birmingham FC.

But moving on to this weekend, Coach Burke has been prepping the squad for the match against North Carolina.

And the Steel are ready to play their home opener in their new home, Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday at 7:30pm.

MLS

Chicago Fire signed Nico Gaitan on a free transfer.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber visited the next potential expansion city, St. Louis to check in on their bid.

Inter Miami announced their proposal to build a new stadium on the site of Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

A touchy subject for the Union and fans, but Sam Stejskal and Garth Lagerwey talk how MLS teams spend and how it needs to change on the Extratime podcast.

Ugh. May the Union see this and become inspired this weekend.

US

Matt Real has been called up by the U-20 USMNT before the upcoming FIFA window. Here’s the entire U-20 camp roster, including 10 MLS players.

USWNT teammates Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger announced their engagement.

World

Giroud’s hat trick pushes Chelsea into the Europa League’s last eight while Arsenal’s Aubameyang was the hero they needed to overcome a two goal deficit to move on to the quarter finals as well.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG are three big European powerhouses, and they are all out of the Champions League before the quarterfinals – now what?

Paul Scholes leaves his manager position with Oldham Athletic after 31 days.

  1. Adam Cann should capitalize the “d” in de Boer’s name in the beginning of the one paragraph. This is a tricky bit of English but it is indeed correct to do so.
    .
I see nothing to disagree with in his analysis. I think that Fabian would’ve found a lot of space in the center of the pitch in this match. It’s a crying shame his outings so far have been suffocated.

  2. Miami temp stadium: so a random address in middle of Miami to Ft Lauderdale stadium is 50 min drive. fans would endure that for 2 seasons till new downtown stadium built, then the stadium goes to a new USL franchise. we can still dream…

  3. SKC through to Champions League Semis. congrats.

  4. Do you think the Union would get ring pops if they ever win anything?

  5. Is parking free for Steel Games?

  6. It is always his will will certainly be done. The heart
beats frantically as well as the voice starts trembling.
They did not inform me at plenty of time that it had been a potential. http://mescasinos.net/using-a-web-casino-poker-benefit/
