Some responses to the preview of the Steel- Harrisburg match this evening.
    .
Last Wednesday Steel head coach Brendan Burke mentioned there would be some squad rotation for this match, given that his side would have just played Friday in north Jersey. We will find how extensively, or not, tonight.
    .
Second, Harrisburg will be playing on even shorter rest, Saturday night, and will be dealing with much longer travel home, Charlotte NC.
    .
Perhaps even more important, Aaron Wheeler subbed himself off on Saturday the 7th against Ottawa. He had a fall in the fourth minute or thereabouts on the tape, and was limping noticeably in the 24th when he came off. The Islanders have scored once since, against the Union in the USOC match last Wednesday at Talen.
    .
The scheduler was not kind to either side for this match.

With all due respect that NYRB game was already a squirrel falling from a high wire with a thud to the ground…. The straight red was the first vehicle that ran it over….

  3. what is up with the sheanon story?

Not really a big fan of the stars on the sleeves, but I like the red and blue hoops. Also, the blue on the sleeves and the blue on the arms look like they are different shades.

      • noticed the sleeve color discrepancy. this was a bit over-designed. the stars on sleeves not bad, but the stars in the blue hoops… too much.
might look better on the pitch, but will it really?

Glad Zack is moving on and happy with his life…
    .
…but am sorry the team was such a train wreck and applauded itself for signing him as a first HG player—when the reality was he stood no real chance in a rudderless system. Zack Pfeffer’s career is carrion and it makes me a bit sad he was IMO from an outsiders POV—- used.
    .
Looking back maybe going overseas and joining an academy there may have helped his career and chances and willingness to stay by the thing he loves to do.
    .
… Pfeffer stayed…..Christian Pulisic wisely bolted and are now on two entirely different soccer trajectories.
    .
…likely a kid with his drive will do just fine in any endeavor.
