Philadelphia Union are suffering a dip in form, but one of their top players says there is no panic in the locker room.
In the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show, Union defender Richie Marquez tells KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Mike Servedio that despite having only one win since beating DC United on July 9, the team is still confident.
Marquez also discusses how the positive impact of Earnie Stewart coming in to run the soccer operations has filtered do to the players.
The center back says Stewart’s presence has helped focus the team as they push for the playoffs.
Greg and Mike then discuss the possibility of a new signing for the team following reports on Monday that the Union were in the running to sign US National team member Alejandro Bedoya from Ligue 1 side FC Nantes. There were reports last year that Bedoya was close to joining the team, but talks with Nantes fell through.
