In the latest KYW Philly Soccer Show, KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Mike Servedio are joined by Union technical director Chris Albright to talk about the signing of Derrick Jones.
The Ghanaian-born midfielder signed to the Union as a homegrown player after going through the team’s academy and becoming the first-ever signing by the team’s USL affiliate, Bethlehem Steel. Albright describes Jones as a box-to-box midfielder who will help the team in the future.
Albright also talks about if the team will make another player signing before the transfer window closes next week.
After that, Greg and Mike talk about last weekend’s tough 5-1 loss to Montreal Impact, a game that included a hat trick from Didier Drogba.
The guys also discuss MLS All Star Game, in which goalkeeper Andre Blake and defender Keegan Rosenberry will represent the Union and the league against English Premier League club Arsenal.
