Junior Lone Star FC is pleased to announce that the club will be returning to the National Premier Soccer League next summer for the 2016 season.
The Stars took a hiatus during the 2015 season to concentrate on the restructuring of the club. The club has so far obtained non-profit status, launched an Academy Program, and is now planning to launch a stadium project which is expected to be completed before the 2016 NPSL season. Additionally, the club is expected to be re-branded by the end of this year.
Even though the Stars were on hiatus from the NPSL during the 2015 season, they were actively involved in various soccer tournaments during the year.
In April, the Stars travelled to Puerto Rico on an invitational soccer tour where they made history when they defeated the Puerto Rico National Team 1-0. The Stars also defeated three other Puerto Rican professional clubs: Guayama FC (2-0), LEAL Arecibo (4-0), and Bayamon FC (2-0) to complete their successful tour unbeaten and without conceding a goal.
In addition to the Puerto Rico tour, the Stars were also involved in several major African soccer tournaments within the United States, namely:
- Cavalla FC Tournament in Philadelphia, Pa.
- U.S. Emirates Cup (Champions) in Essex, Md.
- Roberts Independence Day Tournament (Champions) in Bristol, Pa.
- U.S. African Cup (Quarter-Finalists) in Worcester, Mass.
- Battle of the States (Semi-Finalists) in Charlotte, NC
- Salone FC Soccer Tournament in Philadelphia, Pa.

How is the funding for a field going?
El, we are still in the Planning Phase of the field project. We would like to re-brand the club before launching the Stadium Project at which time we will begin accepting donations.
Pulling for you.
i was always curious, do they have any kind of relationship with the union?
Kyle, we have some kind of relationship with the Union but it’s presently at the Academy Level. We have three of our youth players presently on three of the Philadelphia Union’s Academy teams. We are still trying to have an Official Partnership with the Philadelphia Union though.

I’d throw a few bucks toward the field. Keep us posted!
