It was a near-perfect performance save for a last-minute lapse, as the Philadelphia Union dropped two points at the Portland Timbers in their season opener last Saturday.
In the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show, Antoine Hoppenot joins KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP writer Eli Pearlman-Storch to talk about the game.
Hoppenot, who came into the Portland match as a late substitute, talks about all the positives in the performance despite the fact that the Timbers were able to tie it on corner kick deep into stoppage time.
The talk then turns to this Saturday’s home opener at PPL Park when the Union hosts the New England Revolution (4 pm, CSN, MLS Live. Click here for tickets).
