KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath in the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show. MacMath discusses how the team is trying to move on from the 5-1 loss in New England last Sunday, and the adjustments they have made as they prepare for Saturday’s meeting with the Montreal Impact on Saturday.

MacMath also talks about how the team will adapt to being without one of the team’s best defenders, Amobi Okugo, who will miss the next two games due to suspension.

Next, Eli and Greg go over the Union’s remaining schedule and talk about their chances of making the playoffs.

The Union have two tough games over the next two weeks, with Montreal bringing the league’s leading scorer, Marco Di Vaio, to town on Saturday followed by the long trip out to San José next week.

  1. Great pod. Zac sounds like a veteran compared to the last time that he was on.

It’s funny that he basically came out and said that Sheanon is moving to centerback on Sat. You always seem to get a tactical clue from the players that you have on (i.e. – Jack telling you both that he was going to play higher with Casey dropping deeper into midfield).

    • Thanks for listening! Both Zac and Jack have grown up a bit since the first few times we’ve had them on the show. I think you see it in how Zac has been playing, more commanding and mature.
