Philadelphia Union assistant coach Jim Curtin returns as the guest on the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
The Oreland, Pa. native talks with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and PSP’s Eli Pearlman-Storch ahead of Saturday’s big game against Chicago.
Curtin breaks down some of the tactics from last week’s road win in Vancouver and talks about some of the younger players who could be set to make a contribution as the Union gets ready for a playoff push.
Curtin also alludes to a possible new player coming into the fold.
Greg and Eli then look ahead to Saturday and the Union’s match against Chicago at PPL Park. This is a new-look Fire team from the one the Union defeated twice in two weeks, 1-0 each time, back in May.
With Chicago native Mike Magee putting together an MVP level year after joining the Fire from LA Galaxy, and Bakary Soumare returning to PPL Park for the first time since he was traded, it will be a tough test for the Union this weekend.
