In the latest edition of the KYW Philly Soccer Show podcast, Philadelphia Union striker Chandler Hoffman joins co-hosts Greg Orlandini of KYW NewsRadio and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch.
In part one, Hoffman talks about what it has been like fighting for playing time on the team and working with the other young forwards. The UCLA grad and first round draft pick tallied the 88th minute game winner against Schalke 04 in Wednesday’s international friendly at PPL Park,

In part two, Greg and Eli turn to the Union’s Mother’s Day clash against the Red Bulls at PPL Park at 12:30pm.
The team is still struggling for offense, going down last Saturday in Seattle, 1-0. They will be without Gabriel Farfan for one more game as he finishes his three-game suspension, and may be without starting goalkeeper Zac MacMath, who took a blow to the head at Seattle and is listed as ‘out’ with concussion symptoms.

Wow; hearing Hoffman talk makes you realize how tough it is for a rookies in the league; sooo different from being the Star in College.
