Reject the snub: Vote Valdes and Williams!

If you are like me, you are still burning over the exclusion of Carlos Valdes and Sheanon Williams by the group of unnamed “media experts” from the All-Star ballot.

Well, starting today, you can stick it to the man and voice your choice

You can vote for MLS players NOT included on the fan ballot via Twitter between June 17-20. Simply include the player’s Twitter handle (i.e. @carlosvaldes5 or @sheanonwilliams), OR an MLS player’s full name with no space between first and last (i.e. carlosvaldes or sheanonwilliams) AND @MLS along with #MLSAllStar in a Tweet to cast your vote.

As far as I understand it, it is one vote per tweet but I’m unclear if that means one player per tweet. So, to make things simple, simply copy and paste the following into three separate tweets:

Tweet 1: @MLS @carlosvaldes5 carlosvaldes #MLSAllStar

Tweet 2: @MLS @sheanonwilliams sheanonwilliams #MLSAllStar

Tweet 3: @MLS @carlosvaldes5 carlosvaldes @sheanonwilliams sheanonwilliams #MLSAllStar

If you don’t yet have a Twitter account, setting one up is easy as pie. You can do so at https://twitter.com/signup

The Twitter vote ends on Monday, although as of this writing, I do not know at what time. That means everyone with a Twitter account needs to get moving. And after you have tweeted your vote, be sure to retweet any Twitter votes for Valdes and Williams you see.

Together we can do this thing!

While you are at it, don’t forget to vote Union on the main All-Star ballot.
