Two teams of referees have been axed from the 2010 World Cup after failing the FIFA fitness test.
The team led by Mohamed Benouza of Algeria and the trio under Carlos Amarilla of Paraguay were sent home. They will be replaced by an all Portugese team headed by Martin E. Vazquez Broquetas, who must really hate that “E” part of his name because he’s making sure we know all the rest of it. I think I’ll call you Marty from now on, Marty.
The big blow for Benouza and Amarilla is that they both passed the test individually, but their assistants failed.
Doh!!!
