  1. Jeremy L. says:

Surprised about the forwards, that he would take both Gomez and Buddle, and leave both Ching and Johnson. Very surprising. I don’t disagree with the choices, but surprising.

  2. Robert H. says:

I agree with the choices. I’m sure that momentum, physical ability and health had a lot to do with it.

  3. Adam Cann says:

Here’s why you take Eddie Johnson: He just maybe/might do something, or at least the other teams think he might. Here’s why you don’t take Robbie Findley: Name a single situation where he makes a useful sub?

Eddie Johnson would probably be similar to the Walcott inclusion in 2006. He has one weapon, and there might end up being the perfect situation to deploy it (e.g. you’re playing Italy and they put out a defensive line older than Italy itself).

Also, Bob Bradley looks like a Terminator with spray-on skin.

  4. Dan Walsh says:

Don’t like the Findley call at all. He’s the only guy who made the team based on potential. He had a nice close to 2009 in MLS but hasn’t shown anything at the national team level. He’s not a legit Davies replacement. Ching should be going. Good calls everywhere else.
